European Union Youth Orchestra in Skopje

They call them “The perfect symbol of EU”. They are young, enthusiastic, and talented. The come from all 28 Member States and give interviews on all 24 official languages of the EU. Their conductors were: Herbert von Karajan, Leonard Bernstein, Mstislav Rostropovich… Their name is European Union Youth Orchestra and their concert will take place at 20:00hrs, 20th August at the Macedonian Opera.
They will perform the piece “Invitation to dance” by Carl Maria von Weber the Suite of Leonardo Bernstein “West Side Story”, and “Petrushka” by Igor Stravinsky.

Some figures about the concert: 125 musicians, harp x 2, violin x 17, viola x 7, cello x 7, flute x 3, oboe x 3, clarinet x 5, bassoon x 4, trumpet x 5, tuba x 2, bass x 6, percussion section...
