EU SUPPORTED TAX REFORM PROJECT ENDS

On Wednesday, 25 January 2012, the official closing of the EU-funded project: Support to Tax Reform will be organised at the EU InfoCentre, at 12:00 hrs.
At the conference, welcoming addresses will be delivered by:

Mr. Robert Liddell, Charge d’Affaires a.i., Delegation of the European Union

Mr. Nedim Razimi, Deputy Minister of Finance,

Mr. Muhamet Ameti, Deputy Director General of the Public Revenue Office,

Mr. Patrick Corrigan, Project Director, and Mr. Jesus Gayarre, Project Team Leader.

The EU-funded project: Support to Tax Reform finalises its activities after 21 months duration and available budget of almost 1.3 million EUR. Activities supporting the Tax Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance and most of the Departments and Regional Offices of the the Public Revenue Office were carried out by 16 experts. The project consisted of two components:

Component 1: Further harmonization of legislation

Component 2: Strengthening the Tax Administration Capacity


At the closing event the project’s main activities, the standards it set and the recommendations it proposed will be presented.
