Panel on Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion

On 15 March, EUi Skopje and the Faculty of Economics, ‘SS. Cyril and Methodius’ University organised a panel “Combat Against Poverty and the Social Exclusion”, on the occasion of EUi’s 15^th Anniversary.

The panel, organised within the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Professor Ljubomir Kekenovski, and by Ph.D. Professor Vesna Bucevska, who reflected on the EUi ‘s 15 years of existence.

On this occasion, Ambassador Erwan Fouéré, EUSR and Head of the Delegation of the EU received an Acknowledgement for his contribution regarding the development of EUi.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics Kekenovski handed over the awards to the students Ivana Koleva and Goran Isakovski who participated in the essay competition organised by the EUi. Koleva won a scholarship for the European Forum Alpbach 2010 “Construction and reality” in Tyrol, Austria, while Goran Isakovski won a financial prize given by the Faculty of Economics-Skopje.

This panel was the first in the series of events that EUi Skopje plans to organize during 2010.
