2009 Progress Report presented to representatives of the civil society

On 15 October, the European Union Mission in Skopje organised a presentation of the annual paper ”Enlargement Strategy and Main Challenges 2009-2010”and the 2009 Progress Report for the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the representatives of the civil society.

The main findings in the Progress Report related to the civic organisations were presented by Ambassador Erwan FOUÉRÉ, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission, Emmanuelle GUIHENEUF, head of department and Irena IVANOVA, Task Manager.

Ambassador FOUÉRÉ congratulated the audience on the recommendation for the opening of the accession negotiations by the European Commission and emphasised the crucial role of civic organisations in the overall efforts for accession of the country in the EU.
