EU lecture for the elementary school Zivko Brajkovski

The EU InfoCentre on 4 June hosted a presentation about the EU for eighth grade pupils from the elementary school Zivko Brajkovski from Skopje. About 40 students participated at the lecture about the history of the EU, its institutions, as well as the joint achievements of the European nations. Following the lecture, they took part in a Questions & Answers session and a short EU Quiz.

The activity is a part of wider programme entitled "Open doors for students" aiming to provide information, fostering communication with the youth and broadening the knowledge about EU matters through direct contact with the students. The EU InfoCentre opened its doors for the students from the primary and secondary schools, as well as for the university students. More than 30 elementary and high schools from Skopje and other cities already visited the EU InfoCentre and attended the program "Open doors for students".

Europe Day Film Week

From 3 to 9 May, on the occasion of Europe Day, the Delegation of the European Union in cooperation with the EU Member States embassies in Skopje and the Cinematheque is organising a Europe Day Film Week under the motto "One Europe, One culture, One cinema".

The film week will be opened on Monday, 3 May, with the screening of the feature film "I, Don Giovanni" from the Spanish director Carlos Saura.

Students from High school for catering and tourism in the EU InfoCentre

About 40 students from the High school for catering and tourism “Lazar Tanev” in Skopje on 18 March attended a lecture in the EU InfoCentre on the history of the European Union and its institutions, as well as about the opportunities available for the young people.

Following the lecture, they took part in a Questions & Answers session and a short EU Quiz. The visit was organised as a part of the activity “Open doors for students”.

Information Society Days at the EU InfoCentre

On 9 March the EU InfoCentre organized the Panel Discussion “Information and Communication Technologies for Government and Public Services” aimed at sharing the EU’s experiences and best practices in this area. Moreover, the panel discussion intended to encourage further national discussion and necessary actions concerning the usage of ICT for Government and Public Services.

EU lecture for the elementary schools in Kocani

On 25 February, the EU InfoCentre and EU Info Point in Kocani organized a presentation about the EU for seventh and eighth grade pupils from the following elementary schools in Kocani: “Nikola Karev” ,”Ss. Cyril and Methodius” ,”Rade Kratovce” and “Malina Pop Ivanova”.

About 70 students participated at the lecture about the history of the EU, its institutions, as well as the joint achievements of the European nations. Following the lecture, they took part in a Questions & Answers session and a short EU Quiz.

EU funded Public Administration Reform project started and running

On 24 February the launching event of the "Strengthening the Capacity of the General Secretariat – Sector for Policy Analysis and Coordination - Unit for Public Administration Reform and Unit for NGO Cooperation" project took place at the EU InfoCentre.

Ambassador Erwan FOUÉRÉ, Special Representative of the European Union and Head of EU Delegation, and Mr. Kiril BOZINOVSKI, General Secretary of the Government and Mr. Folkert MILCH, Team Leader of the project addressed the participants at the conference.

Safer Internet Day - lecture for elementary school students

About 60 students from 6 elementary schools from Skopje attended а lecture about safer usage of the Internet on 9 February in the EU InfoCentre. The event was organized in order to mark Safer Internet Day, under this year’s motto “Think before you post”. The lecture is also a part of the Information Society Days that will take place in the EU InfoCentre from 9 to 26 February.

From 9 to 26 February, the EU InfoCentre of the Delegation of the European Union will organise a series of events entitled “Information Society Days”, aimed at raising awareness about EU policies and activities in this area.

The events are related to the safer use of Internet, initiatives for digitalisation of cultural heritage, creation of digital libraries, as well as the promotion of ICT research supported by the European Union.

Lecture for children from the primary school "Vlado Tasevski”

Students from the primary school "Vlado Tasevski” in Skopje visited the EU InfoCentre in Skopje on 04 February. The children from 8^th grade attended a lecture on the history of the European Union and its institutions.

Following the lecture, they took part in discussion in short EU Quiz.

EU lecture for 5 schools in Veles

On 22 January, the EU InfoCentre and EU Info Point in Veles organized a presentation for seventh and eighth grade pupils from the five schools in Veles about the EU.

About 100 students from elementary schools “Ss. Cyril and Methodius”, “Blagoj Kirkov”, “Vasil Glavinov”, “Jordan H. Dzinot” and “Blaze Koevski” attended the lecture about the history of the EU, its institutions, as well as the joint achievements of the European nations. Regional Conference: Empowering the Reconciliation Process in Western Balkans

On 15 January 2010, at the premises of the EU InfoCentre, the EU funded project “Empowering the Reconciliation Process in Western Balkans” organized a regional conference with the same title, thus marking the closure of the 10-month regional project funded by the European Union.

About 40 students from 7^th and 8^th grade from the primary school "Vera Jocich" attended a lecture about the EU in the EU InfoCentre on 23 December.

The lecture covered the history of the European Union and its institutions, the EU symbols as well as the opportunities available for children. Following the lecture, they took part in a Questions & Answers session and a short Quiz on the EU.

On 22 December, the EU InfoCentre hosted the students from the primary school "Grigor Prlcev".

The students from 7^th and 8^th grade attended a lecture about the history of the European Union and its institutions as well as about the opportunities available for children of that age.

On 16 December, the EU InfoCentre organized a presentation about the EU for seventh and eighth grade pupils from the primary school “Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi” in Skopje. organized a lecture about the Lisbon Treaty, which entered into force the same day.

The EU Winner of ‘Jean Monnet’ 2009 Journalist Award Competition announced

The winner of the ‘Jean Monnet’ 2009 Journalist Award Competition, launched by the Delegation of European Union is Josif KJURCHIEV, formerly a journalist of Deutsche Velle and columnist in Utrinski Vesnik. He won the prize for best journalistic story on this year’s topic "From the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989 to the 2004 Enlargement" for a serial of articles published in Utrinski Vesnik.

10 December - Human Rights Day

On Thursday 10 December, the Delegation of the European Union in Skopje will organise a series of events to mark the International Human Rights Day and highlight this year more particularly the theme of anti-discrimination. The EU-supported project “Renovation of the Police Station-Kisela Voda” will be promoted at 10:30hrs at the Kisela Voda Police Station by Ambassador Erwan Fouéré, EU Special representative and Head of Delegation and Ms Gordana Jankuloska, Minister of Interior.

Lecture on Lisbon Treaty at the EUi in Bitola

On 2 December the EUi at the Faculty of Administration and management of information systems in Bitola organized a lecture about the Lisbon Treaty, which entered into force the same day.

The EU Climate Change Days: Promotion of books organised

On Friday, 13 November, the books “Hunger, the car, wheat and us", by Fabrice Nicolino and "Genetically modified organisms that change the world” by Professor Zil-Erik Seralini have been promoted at the EU InfoCentre, as a part of the Climate Change Days. Furthermore, the EU InfoCentre presented translation of the EU brochure "Combating climate change – the EU leads the way" into local languages.

Together we are stronger and we can save our planet!

Approximately 60 students attending elementary schools from nine out of the 10 municipalities in Skopje were present at a lecture on climate change on 3 November as part of the Climate Change Days, organised by the EU InfoCentre. The children were also shown documentaries from the EU's Audio Visual Service related to climate change.

In prospect of the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit 2009, the EU Mission will organise a series of events related to the EU’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the action for adapting European policies to the realities of climate change.

On 28 September, at the EU InfoCentre, promotion of the Glossary of the EU terminology by Tanja KARAKAMISEVA, PhD, professor at the Law Faculty “Iustinianus Primus”, Skopje and Veronika EFREMOVA, M.A. has been organised. The authors, H.E. Ulrike MARIA KNOTZ, Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany, Patrick PAQUET, First Secretary at the EU Mission as well as Vasko NAUMOVSKI, PhD, Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs addressed the audience, emphasising the importance of issuing the Glossary.

Promotional Conference of Projects for Cultural Heritage Rehabilitation – Ljubljana Process

On 28 September, the EU InfoCentre hosted Promotional Conference of Projects for Cultural Heritage Rehabilitation – Ljubljana Process. The Conference was dedicated to promotion of cultural heritage projects under the “Ljubljana Process”, a joint programme of the European Commission and of the Council of Europe. The conference has been organised in the framework of the European Heritage Days that are being celebrated in various parts of the country.

Commissioner Ján FIGEĽ opened the XIV Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean – Seven Gates: Skopje Biennial 2009

On 3 September, Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Youth, Ján Figeľ paid a two-day visit to Skopje, taking part in the opening of the XIV edition of the Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean – Seven gates (3-12 September 2009) at the main square of the capital.

The Commissioner for education, training, culture and youth Ján FIGEĽ will pay a visit to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on 3 and 4 September 2009.
During the visit, the Commissioner will have meetings with the Prime Minister Nikola GRUEVSKI, the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Vasko NAUMOVSKI,, the Minister of Education Nikola TODOROV, and the Minister of Culture Elizabeta KANČESKA-MILEVSKA.

European films at the “Manaki Brothers” Film Festival

The 30th International Cinematographers Film Festival “Manaki Brothers” was opened on 26 September in Bitola, with the screening of the British film Slumdog Millionaire, directed by Danny Boyle (2008).

Press conference on raising awareness about Mobbing

On 31 August 2009, several NGOs held a press conference at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje on the efforts for creation of network for advocacy of the rights of the victims from mobbing.

Promotion of the book ‘Europe at the Crossroads’

On 15 July 2009, the book ‘Europe at the Crossroads’ by Goran ILIK was promoted at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje.
The book was introduced by Ambassador Erwan FOUÉRÉ and Prof. Slavejko SASAJKOSKI.

Commission proposes visa free travel for citizens from the Western Balkans

The European Commission's long standing commitment to visa free travel for the people of the Western Balkans was confirmed today with the adoption of a proposal for granting visa free travel to the citizens of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. Today's proposal enables the citizens of these three countries to travel to the Schengen countries with the new biometric passports. The Commission's proposal needs to be approved by the Council after having consulted the European Parliament. The Commission remains committed to visa liberalisation for the citizens of Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina too. However these countries have not yet fulfilled the conditions to be included in today's proposal. If the pace of reforms is maintained and if all the conditions are fulfilled, the Commission could envisage making a new proposal including these countries by mid-2010.

Transfer of the EU presidency from the Czech Republic to Sweden

On 07 July a press conference focused on the transfer of the EU presidency from the Czech Republic to Sweden took place at the EU InfoCentre.
Swedish Ambassador Lars FRÉDEN elaborated the priorities in the next six months during the Swedish presidency.

Round table “Visa Liberalisation vs. EU Negotiation“held in the EU InfoCentre

On 26 June, a round table entitled “Visa liberalisation vs. EU accession negotiations“ was organized in the EU InfoCentre in partnership with the NGO Info Centre and the Macedonian Centre for European Training, as part of their project “Time for EU”.
 

New EU Info Point opened at NUB “Sv. Kliment Ohridski”

On 02 June, a new European Union Information Point was opened at the National and University Library “Sv. Kliment Ohridski” in Skopje.
The EU Info Point was officially inaugurated by Ambassador Erwan FOUÉRÉ and Ivica BOCEVSKI, Deputy Prime Minister for European integration.

Exhibition “Robots of the Third Millennium” from 02 to 23 June

On 02 June, the EU InfoCentre in Skopje opened an exhibition of kids' drawings “Robots of the Third Millennium” that will be displayed from 02 June to 23 June. The drawings were produced by students of 11 elementary schools from Skopje at the creative workshop held on 15 April as part of the Days of Creativity and Innovation at the InfoCentre.

On 17 May, students from the Faculty of Law at the FON University attended a lecture as part of the “Open Doors for Students” project, aimed at providing information and fostering communication with the youth.

On 13 May about 60 students from the business studies on the South-East European University in Tetovo visited the EU InfoCentre in Skopje as a part of the Europe day activities and the European day of entrepreneur.

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the biggest EU enlargement and the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the European Union Mission organised a panel discussion: “From the fall of the Iron Curtain in 1989 to the 2004 enlargement”. The event took place on 11 May, at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje in the presence of media.

On 5 May, the School for Media and Public Relations in cooperation with the EU InfoCentre of the Delegation of European Commission organised an awarding ceremony for Best High School Graduation Project entitled “Express yourself through the media”.
 

2008 Municipal Award Ceremony and presentation of the Municipal Infrastructure Project

On 28 April, the Mission of the European Union in Skopje will organise a Closing ceremony to highlight the results of two of its projects that support the decentralization process in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia:

On Friday, 24 April, the EU Mission in Skopje organised a press conference at the EU InfoCentre where Ambassador Erwan Fouéré presented the activities foreseen to mark this year's Europe Day (9 May).
 “This year we are organising many events across the country for celebrating Europe Day with the aim of bringing the European integration process closer to the citizens”, said Ambassador Erwan FOUÉRÉ.

As part of the Days of Creativity and Innovation taking place at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje, an exhibition of awarded innovations by national innovators entitled “Creativity and innovation in everyday life” was opened on 21 April. Fourteen inventions awarded at various international exhibitions will be displayed at the EU InfoCentre until 5 May.

On 16 April, the European Union Mission organised a presentation of EU 7th Framework Programme for Research - FP7 - as part of the Days of Creativity and Innovation taking place at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje. The presentation was attended by potential beneficiaries of the programme such as academicians, researchers, representatives of the business community, civil society, public administration, etc.

As part of the Days of Creativity and Innovation, the EU Info Centre of the Delegation of the European Commission will organise an exhibition of awarded innovations by national innovators from 21 April to 5 May.

The opening ceremony will take place on 21 April at 19.00 in the EU InfoCentre.

On 15 April, a group of students from 11 elementary schools in Skopje took part in the Creative workshop “Robots of the third millennium” organised in the EU InfoCentre as part of the Creativity and Innovation days.
The students made drawings will be exhibited in the EU InfoCentre as part of the Europe Day celebrations taking place in May.

On the occasion of the Europe Day about 120 students from the schools in the Municipality of Centar on 6 April attended a lecture on the history of the European Union and its institutions, as well as about the opportunities available for the young people.

On 2 April 2009, the EU InfoCentre hosted an event aimed at marking the 30th Anniversary of EU's Birds Directive. A panel discussion was organised, upon the initiative of the "Macedonian Ecological Society", in order to promote the EU Directive on the conservation of wild birds (79/409/EEC), commonly known as the Birds Directive (2nd April 1979).

About 30 students from the Medical High School "Panche Karagjozov" in Skopje on 1 April attended a lecture on the history of the European Union and its institutions, as well as about the opportunities available for the young people. 

A delegation from the EU Department on Communication and Information at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Finland and the regional information offices visited the EU InfoCentre in Skopje, on 24 March 2009.

Patrick PAQUET, Head of the Political and Information Section, informed the visitors about the recent developments in the EU integration process and explained the activities of the Delegation of the European Commission in informing and communicating with the citizens.

Students from the State Gymnasium and Construction High School Centre "Zdravko Cvetkoski" in Skopje visited the EU InfoCentre in Skopje on 12 March.

The students attended a presentation on the history of the European Union and its institutions, as well as about the opportunities available for the students. Following the lecture, they took part in a Questions & Answers session and a short EU Quiz.
 

Students from the State Music and Ballet Centre "Ilija Nikolovski Luj" in Skopje visited the EU InfoCentre in Skopje on 4 February.

The students attended a presentation on the history of the European Union and its institutions, as well as about the opportunities available for student. Following the lecture, they took part in a Questions & Answers session and a short EU Quiz.

On 26 February, the First Children’s Embassy “Megjasi” organised a workshop entitled “Childhood without abuse – towards a better child protection system in Eastern Europe”. The workshop is part of the project "Building of culture of child protection" funded under the 2007 country based support scheme of the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).
 

The competition entitled “Express yourself through the Media” designed for the high school graduates was launched on 24 February at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje. The competition is organised by the School for Journalism and Public Relations and supported by the Mission of the European Union.
 

On Monday, 16 February 2009, the organisational team of “Spring Day in Europe 2009” held a press conference at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje to announce the start of this year's activities.
 

On Monday, 16 February 2009, at 12:00hrs the exhibition of EU related caricatures “ANTE PORTAS” was opened at the EU InfoCentre. This exhibition is an individual project of the distinguished artist Mr Delcho Mihajlov, with participation of 40 authors from 4 countries in the region.

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement, in cooperation with the European Youth Press association and Café Babel, today announced the start of the second European Young Journalist Award 2009. This diverse award offers aspiring journalists aged 17 – 35 from all over Europe to reflect and express their views on Europe and the European Union’s enlargement.

Safer Internet Day 2009

On the occasion of the celebration of the Safer Internet Day 2009, the EU InfoCentre in Skopje organised a Panel discussion entitled “How to make the Internet a safer place”.

The aim of this panel was raising awareness and opening debate about the issue of safe and responsible use of new technologies, particularly the Internet.

Debate: Position of the relevant stakeholders regarding discrimination based on sexual orientation

On 9 February coalition “Macedonia without discrimination” organised debate in the EU InfoCentre entitled “Position of the relevant stakeholders regarding discrimination based on sexual orientation”. The debate is part of the project funded under the EU PROGRESS Programme 2007-2013.
 

4th Annual Civil Society Gathering

On 4 February, the EU Mission in Skopje organised the 4th Annual Civil Society Gathering at the EU InfoCentre.
 
The purpose of the event was to encourage debate regarding the cooperation between the European Union and the civil society sector.
 

Pupils from the primary school "11 Oktomvri” visit EU InfoCentre

On 30 January, the EU InfoCentre organized a presentation about the EU for eight grade pupils from the primary school “11 Oktomvri” in Skopje.

The EU InfoCentre opened its doors for the students from the primary and secondary schools, as well as for university students. The aim was to establish regular communication and to widen the knowledge about EU matters through direct contact.

European Data Protection Day: Presentation of the Guidelines for protection of students’ privacy

On the occasion of the European Data Protection Day, on 28 January, the Directorate for personal data protection presented the Guidelines for protection of student’s privacy at the EU InfoCentre.

The audience was addressed by: Patrick PAQUET, Head of Political and Information Section at the Mission of the European Union, Marijana MARUSIC, Director of the Directorate for Personal Data Protection, Gjorgji JOVANOVSKI, Director of the Information Office of the Council of Europe and Elena STOJANOVSKA, Advisor for International Cooperation and Public Relations in the Directorate for personal data protection.

The kids from the “Super Star” show visited the EU InfoCentre

On 15 January the kids from the TV show “Super Star”, regularly broadcasted on one of the national TV channels visited the EU Info Centre. The show has educational elements and this episode was dedicated to the work of the EU InfoCentre.

The kids met with the Ambassador Erwan FOUÉRÉ, as well as with the EU InfoCentre staff.

Students from the primary school "Ljuben Lape” visited EU InfoCentre

On 19 December, the EU InfoCentre organized a lecture for third grade students from the primary school “Ljube Lape” in Skopje.
 

Screening of the film “Kosovo – Cutting the lifeline” in the EU InfoCentre

On 18 December, a screening of the film "Kosovo – Cutting the lifeline" was organised at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje.

The film is part of the TV project "Return to Europe", a series of 10 one-hour TV documentaries featuring countries and cities in the Balkans, which won the 2008 Erasmus Euro Media Award.

Promotion of the Guide for the Culture Programme 2007 – 2013

The Macedonian language version of the Guide for the Culture Programme 2007 – 2013 was promoted by the Minister of Culture Elizabeta KANCESKA – MILEVSKA and Ambassador Erwan FOUÉRÉ, on 18 December, at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje.

Alek Aleksandar Jankovic winner of drawing competition “EU little stars”

On 17 December, Ambassador Erwan FOUÉRÉ, EU Special Representative and Head of the Delegation of the European Commission announced the winners of the drawing competition “EU little stars” on the topic: “EU meets the New Year”, organised by the EU InfoCentre.

The 1st price was awarded to Alek Aleksandar JANKOVIC, 5th grade student in the elementary school “Koco Racin”. The drawing of Stefanija BLAZEVSKA from Elementary School “Dimitar Miladinov” won the second place, and the drawing of Irina NIKOVSKA from Elementary School “Sts. Cyril and Methodius” was third.

Frosina Pandurska winner of "Jean Monnet 08" Journalist Award Competition

On 15 December the Mission of the European Union announced the winner of Journalist Award Competition “Jean Monnet ‘08”. The topic of this year competition was “Intercultural dialogue”, a theme chosen after the 2008 European year of Intercultural Dialogue (www.interculturaldialogue2008.eu).

Frosina Pandurska, journalist of TV Alsat – M won the award with TV story related to the intercultural dialogue in the country. Тhis year the jury decided to award the TV Alsat – M with “Certificate of appreciation” for enduring contributions to the intercultural dialogue.

International Human Rights Day and 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) marked with series of events

On 10 December, the International Human Rights Day was celebrated. The European Union Mission in Skopje, in cooperation with the United Nations Country Team and the Council of Europe organised a series of events to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) at the EU InfoCentre.

European Film Festival CinEd@ys ’08 – from 12 to 19 December

The 7th edition of the European Film Festival “CinEd@ys ‘08” supported by the European Union Mission will be held from 12 to19 December in the Millenium and Frosina cinemas in Skopje. Under the motto “Watch film” this year's CinEd@ys festival brings to the public a total of 37 films from the European countries which will be screened on 40 projections.

2008 ‘Jean Monnet’ Journalist Award will be announced on 15 December

On 15 December, the EU Mission will proclaim the winner of the sixth edition of its annual competition ‘Jean Monnet’ for best journalistic materials on European Union related issues.
 

Marking the International Human Rights Day

On Wednesday, 10 December, the European Union Mission in Skopje, in cooperation with the United Nations Country Team and the Council of Europe will organize a series of events to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The events will take place at the EU InfoCentre from 9:00 to 19:00 hrs.
 

Students from the „Fifth Private Gymnasium” visited EU InfoCentre

Students from the „Fifth Private Gymnasium” visited the European Union Information Centre in Skopje on 28 November.

The students attended a presentation about the history of the European Union and its institutions as well as about the opportunities available for the young people. Following the lecture, they took part in a Questions & Answers session and in short EU Quiz.
 

Round table “Communicating Europe” held in EU InfoCentre

On 19 November a round table entitled “Communicating Europe” was organised in the EU InfoCentre in Skopje, as part of the Inauguration month of activities.

The round table aimed at analysing the best practices in communicating the European Union to the Macedonian citizens, identifying the main challenges laying ahead and drawing possible future fruitful approaches.
 

Presentation of film and debate on “Development of Intelligent materials”

On 14 November the EU InfoCentre in Skopje organised a presentation of the short film “Development of Intelligent materials” for the students of faculties of arts, design and textile in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The presentation of the film was followed by a debate about the European trends in the development and use of innovative materials in textile industry. Presentation and consultation on IPA Facility with Civil Society organisations, Government representatives and donors

On 12 November, the European Union Mission in Skopje organised a presentation and consultation regarding the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA) Facility with civil society organisations, government representatives and donors.

Dissemination Workshop Press conference

On 12 November, the European Union Mission and the European Agency for Reconstruction organised a press conference on the main lessons learned from the implementation of the EU assistance programmes by the European Agency for Reconstruction.
 

Debate “Arts and intercultural dialogue” held in the EU InfoCentre

On 10 November, the EU InfoCentre in Skopje organised a public debate on the topic “Arts and Intercultural Dialogue”.

The debate gathered eminent artists, theoreticians and journalists, who discussed the issues related to intercultural dialogue as fundamental value of the European Union, the impact of the European integration process on the local art scene, the role of arts in creating doorways between cultures as well as the responsibilities of institutions and media in promoting intercultural dialogue on local, national and European level.

Presentation of the Erasmus Mundus Programme

On 4 November, the EU InfoCentre in Skopje organised a presentation on the Erasmus Mundus programme for the following target groups: students, researchers, university and academic staff.

This presentation was organised on the occasion of the official opening of the new EU InfoCentre and as part of its Inauguration Month of activities.

Children drew on the EU & the New Year topic

On 3 November, eleven talented kids from 5 schools in the Skopje Municipality of Centar, who visited the EU InfoCentre under the action “Open doors for students”, took part in the workshop “EU little stars” and drew on the topic the EU and the New Year.
This workshop was organised on the occasion of the official opening of the new EU InfoCentre and as part of its Inauguration Month of activities.

On 31 October the EU InfoCentre of the Delegation of the European Commission in Skopje organised an “Open day with Ambassador Erwan Fouéré” on the occasion of the official opening of the new EU InfoCentre and as part of its Inauguration Month of activities.

EXHIBITION “EU MOMENTS – WIDENED LENSES” OPENED

Today, Ambassador Erwan Fouéré, EU Special Representative and Head of the Delegation of the European Commission officially opened the Exhibition of photographs by local photo-reporters: "EU Moments – widened lenses" in the EU InfoCentre. This is the first of the series of exhibitions on the same subject and it will be displayed in the course of the next three weeks in the EU InfoCentre premises.

Students of 7th and 8th grade from the primary school "Kole Nedelkovski" and “Dimitar Miladinov” visited the European Union Information Centre in Skopje on 17 and 20 October respectively.
