The EU InfoCentre in Skopje,
offers five internship sessions per year. Internships are
voluntary (unpaid) and interns will be required to work
part-time (20 hours per week) during a two-month internship
period.
The EU InfoCentre offers two-month internships for young people.
The work given to interns involves executive tasks e.g.
compiling information and documentation, providing assistance in
events organisation, providing information and assistance to
visitors etc. as well as more elaborate work such as writing
summaries, info pads etc.
Applicants must have minimum knowledge of EU affairs as well as
an interest in the process of country’s accession to the EU. At
the end of the internship period, interns will receive an
internship certificate and, if needed, a recommendation letter.
The internship periods are:
• January – February
• March – April
• May – June
• July – August
• September – October
• November – December
Interns must be able to finance themselves throughout the
internship program: cover their travel costs, accommodation and
daily expenses, as internships are not paid.
Criteria:
• Interns must be citizens of the former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia, the European Union or EU applicant countries;
• They must be university graduates, with a minimum of 3 full
years undergraduate studies, preferably with a background in
European studies, economics, political sciences or law, and have
knowledge about the EU integration process, particularly in
relation to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia;
• Be fluent in Macedonian and English language. Knowledge of
other languages (preferably Albanian) is useful;
• Computer literacy is a must.
